BEFORE COLBY
Ella graduated from St. Paul Academy, where she played tennis, hockey, and softball. She was all-conference and all-section in softball, and all-conference in tennis. Ella captained both tennis and softball. She won multiple Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
AT COLBY
Ella is majoring in Biology and has a minor in Art. She plays for the club rugby team and volunteers with Hardy Girls, Healthy Women and Planned Parenthood Generation Action.
2018 season highlights: Hommeyer played in 26 games this season, finishing first on the team in base on balls (13), second in stolen bases (6), and fourth in total at bats (67). She also had 10 hits, seven runs, three RBI, 20 defensive putouts, and 23 assists.
2017 season highlights: Ella had 13 total hits, scored four runs, had two doubles, six RBI, and led the Mules in walks with 12.
