Vlad gladuated from Colegiul National Ferdinand I. He was a member of the Romanian national tennis team. Vlad worked as a research assistant for Computer Vision.

Vlad is majoring in Math and Computer Science.
2016-2017 season highlights: Vlad had a huge senior season, earning All-American honors for his play and for academics. He made the NCAA tourney and finished 20th in the country in singles play. He had the highest grade point average of any Colby senior student-athlete and earned the CoSIDA National Academic Award. Vlad had been honored with District 1 (New England) academic honors before being selected to the national team. Murad also was the National Most Improved Senior Award winner and was given the NCAA's Elite 90 Award for highest grade point average of any player at the national tourney. He also earned All-NESCAC First Team honors for his play in singles and was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team. Vlad was 17-5 in singles play and 17-6 in doubles during the 2016-17 season to finish with career totals of 94-55 (44-22 singles, 50-23 doubles).
2015-2016 season highlights: Murad finished the singles season with a record of 10-6 from the second position. In doubles, Murad had nine victories, playing primarily with Carl Reid. Murad was also a member of the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2014-2015 season highlights: Murad was on the NESCAC All-Conference Second Team in doubles. He finished the singles season with five victories form the second position. In doubles, Murad and Carl Reid finished the year with a 12-5 record, falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
2013-2014 season highlights: Murad was on the NESCAC All-Conference Second Team in doubles play with Carl Reid. He finished his first season with the Mules at 10-4 in singles, playing from the first through fourth positions. Murad was 10-5 in doubles.
