Biography

BEFORE COLBY

C.J. graduated from Belmont Hill and played soccer, hockey, and lacrosse. He was a 2015 All-ISL lacrosse selection.

AT COLBY 

C.J. is majoring in Economics with a minor in Chinese. 

2018 season highlights: Layton earned All-NESCAC Second Team honors for the second straight season. He finished the year seventh in the NESCAC in saves (143) and save percentage (51.1). He also tallied 26 ground balls and caused two turnovers.

2017 season highlights: C.J. earned All-NESCAC Second Team honors after a fine season in goal. He was fourth in the league in total saves (189) and fifth in save percentage (55.8).  Layton played all but 26 minutes in goal. 

2016 season highlights: Layton played in four games in his first season, finishing the year with two ground balls and eight saves.
