BEFORE COLBY
Cam graduated from Westford Academy, where he played hockey and baseball. He was a two-time MVP and all-conference selection. Cam was also an all-conference selection for baseball.
AT COLBY
Cam is majoring in American Studies. He is the son of Mules head coach Blaise MacDonald.
2017-2018 season highlights: Cam signed a professional hockey contract with South Carolina of the ECHL in June. He played 103 games during his career and finished with 33 goals and 44 assists for 77 points. Cam, who was on the NESCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Team, was tied for second on the team in scoring with a team-best 16 goals and 10 assists for 26 points. He also led the Mules in power play goals (5), had two game-winning goals, and one game-tying score.
2016-17 season highlights: MacDonald played in 24 games for the Mules, finishing with five goals and 11 assists. He was fourth on the team in scoring, had two power play goals, and one game-winning score.
2015-16 season highlights: MacDonald played in all 25 games and led the Mules in scoring as a sophomore with six goals and 14 assists. He finished 12th in NESCAC scoring and sixth in assists. He was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Team.
2014-15 season highlights: MacDonald played in all 24 games for the Mules in his first season and finished fourth on the team with 15 points (six goals, nine assists).
