Ian graduated from Hamilton-Wenham Regional, where he played football and baseball. He was named team MVP and league all-star his senior year.

Ian is majoring in Economics. He volunteers for Playground Pals.
2017 season highlights: Dickey played in eight games for the Mules in his senior season. He finished the year with 27 total tackles (14 solo), two pass breakups, one interception, and a fumble recovery for nine yards. He was named to the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2016 season highlights: Dickey was tied for second on the team in total tackles (52) and was tied for the lead in solo stops (38). He also had a team-best three interceptions, one pass break-up, and one forced fumble. He was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2015 season highlights: The sophomore started and played in all eight games at cornerback, finishing the season second on the team with 43 total tackles, six pass break-ups, one interception, and a forced fumble and recovery. Ian was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2014 season highlights: Ian saw quality time in his first season, recording 16 tackles and one blocked kick.
