Mark Clements joined the Colby Football coaching staff in the summer ahead of the 2024-25 academic year.
Prior to Colby, Clements was the Pass Game Coordinator and Wide Receiver coach at Sacred Heart University for six years. During his time at SHU the team won 3 Northeast Conference Championships, and competed twice in the NCAA FCS playoffs. Clements coached six All-Conference nominees, a 2019 FCS All-American, the Jerry Rice Award nominee Tyrese Chambers, and the 2018 Academic All-American Andrew O’Neill. In addition to his role on the field, Clements served as the Video Coordinator and Community Service lesion at SHU.
In 2017, Clements served as the Offensive Coordinator and Economics Teacher at Northview High School in Johns Creek, Georgia and coached All-Region Wide Receiver Mac Bolton.
From 2015-2017, Clements worked as a Graduate Assistant football coach at the University of California Los Angeles. He coached on offense in 2016, working with the wide receivers, and worked with the defense and special teams in 2015. Clements served as an offensive assistant at the 2017 NFLPA Collegiate bowl.
Clements was the Offensive Coordinator at fellow NESCAC institution Bates College in 2014, winning the CBB title outright while coaching All-NESCAC WR Mark Riley. In 2013, he was a Graduate Assistant Football Coach working with wide receivers at Springfield College. Clements began his career at Bates in 2011 as the Wide Receivers coach.
Before coaching, Clements graduated from UCLA in 2017 with a Masters in Education and got his Bachelors in Physical Education from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in 2011. While at Saint Joseph's he played on the baseball team as a catcher following his transfer from Maine Maritime Academy where he was a quarterback.

Clements is a Gorham, Maine native and currently resides in Augusta with his wife Stacy and daughter Sylvia.
