BEFORE COLBY
Blanch played field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse at Lawrence Academy and captained all three as a senior. She was a two-time team MVP and earned All-New England honors her senior year. McKayla was inducted into the Cum Laude Society in 2013. Blanch worked as a strength coach for Mike Boyles Strength and Conditioning during the summer of 2013.

McKayla is an Art History and Psychology double major at Colby and serves as a Colby Cares About Kids mentor. This past summer she worked as a creative branding intern for Lightyear Strategies.
2016 field hockey season highlights: Blanch started all 15 games for the Mules, leading the team in scoring with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points. She finished her career with 23 goals and 14 assists. She was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad and the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team
2016 indoor track season highlights: Blanch took third with the 4x400-meter relay team at the Maine State Championships, eighth at the Open New England Championships, and second at the ECAC Division III Championship. She was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.
2015 field hockey season highlights: Blanch played in 15 games for the Mules, finishing the season with four goals, one assist, and 16 shots. She was on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad and the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2015 outdoor track season highlights: Blanch began her season at the Colby Invitational, taking fifth in the 200 meters, ninth in the 100 dash, second with the 400 relay team, and first with the 1,600 relay team. At the NESCAC Championships, Blanch helped the 1,600 relay take fifth. Blanch then finished the season by helping the 1,600 relay take fourth at the New England Division III Championships, seventh at the Open New England Championships, and third at the ECAC Championships.
2015 indoor track season highlights: Blanch and her teammates earned All-American honors for taking sixth in the 1,600-meter relay at the NCAA Division III Championships. She opened the season by taking eighth in the 400 meters and seventh in the 200 meters at the Bowdoin Invitational. At the Maine State Championships, Blanch took fourth with the 800 relay team and 10th in the 200 meters. At the New England Division III Championships, Blanch helped the 1,600 relay team take fourth and the 800 relay team take 11th. With the 1,600 relay team, Blanch took seventh at the Open New England Championships.
2014 field hockey season highlights: Blanch appeared in all 16 games for the Mules in 2014 and finished the season with eight goals and three assists. McKayla's goals placed her in a tie for second on the team in that category. She was on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad and the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2014 outdoor track season highlights: Blanch earned All-NESCAC honors for helping the 1,600 relay team take third at the league meet. She also was All-New England after the 1,600 squad took second. Blanch also helped the 400 relay team finish ninth at the NE Division III meet. She opened the season at the Corsair Classic, taking ninth in the 100 dash, eighth in the 200 meters, sixth with the 1,600 relay, and second with the 400 relay. At the Bates Invitational, Blanch helped the 400 relay finish second, placed fourth in the 200 meters and fifth in the 400. At the Bowdoin Invitational, Blanch was a member of the winning 1,600 relay team, placed eighth in the 200 meters, and fourth in the 400.
2014 indoor track season highlights: Blanch opened the season by taking 10th in the 200 meters and 11th in the 60 dash at the Bowdoin Invitational. At the Maine State Championships, Blanch took first with the 800 relay team, seventh in the 55 dash, and 11th in the 200. Blanch concluded her season with the 800 relay team, taking ninth at the New England Division III Championships and 27th at the ECAC Championships.
2013 field hockey season highlights: McKayla played in all 15 games, had one start, and was fourth on the team in scoring with four goals and three assists for 11 points. She had assists in league wins against Williams and Hamilton.
