Biography

BEFORE COLBY

Jackson graduated from Wilton High School and played baseball. He was a four-year scholar-athlete, was selected Connecticut Second Team All-State, and was an all-conference academic team selection.

AT COLBY

Jackson is an Economics (Financial Markets) and Government double major at Colby. He is a COOT leader, a WMHB Radio DJ, the co-president of the Colby College Special Olympics, a Class of 2019 Class Council member, and a JP Mule Games Steering Committee member. Over the summer, he worked as a sales and trading summer analyst at Citigroup.

2018 season highlights: Ward started in 27 games and had six doubles. He drove in five runs and stole two bases. Jackson was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.

2017 season highlights: Ward played in 35 games for the Mules in his sophomore season and was named the team's Warren Judd Award winner as Most Improved Pitcher. He led the team in saves (4) as a closer, had a 2-2 record, and finished with 18 strikeouts in 21 innings. He also had 22 hits, 10 RBI, and eight runs. Jackson played at second base when he was not pitching in relief. Jackson was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.

2016 season highlights: Ward played in 16 games for the Mules in his first season, finishing the year with five hits, three runs, and three RBI. He finished with 19 put-outs and a .932 fielding percentage, and made three appearances on the mound with 2.2 innings pitched and three strikeouts.
