Tom Novick joined the Colby Baseball coaching staff ahead of the 2024-25 academic year, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in collegiate baseball.
Prior to his appointment at Colby, Novick played a key role at Bentley University, where he helped elevate the team from a 17-23 record prior to his hiring to a program-best 29-19 record in 2024 and consecutive conference playoff berths.
At Bentley, Novick managed the pitching staff, developed pitch-calling strategies, and contributed to team defense and offensive aspects. His use of pitching development plans and advanced video resources led to significant improvements in pitching statistics, including reductions in ERA and WHIP.
Before Bentley, Novick was the Pitching Coach at Adelphi University, where he improved pitching statistics and helped the team achieve a top-three conference finish and an East Regional selection. He also served as Pitching Coach at Carson-Newman University, as well as roles with the Riverhead Tomcats in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League and the Jupiter Wave in the Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches.
Novick began his coaching career with an internship at Cressey Sports Performance and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of San Diego. He was also part of the 2019 East Regional Championship team at Southern New Hampshire University. At Colby College, Novick is eager to contribute to the baseball program’s continued success.
