Biography

Major: Mathematics with economics and philosophy double minor 

Why I chose Colby: "I get to study at a good school while skiing with a team that reminds me why I love the sport."

Internship/Work Experience: Interned at Permira (a global private equity firm) over the summer of 2019.

Favorite Place on Campus: Miller Street

Most Memorable Team Experience: "Three girls in the top 15 at Sunday River."

Plans After Colby: "Ph.D!"

What Do You Think of the New Athletic Center: "Couldn't ask for anything better!

 

2020 Season highlights: Julia's season started off with strong with a 3rd place podium in SL at the opening series. She continued to have success throughout the Carnival series earning 3 top-30 results in SL, 1 top-20 in GS, and a career best 7th in at the Bates SL.  

2019 season highlights: Julia had three top-30 results on the EISA Carnival circuit, with her best result coming in the UNH Slalom (24th). 

2018 season highlights: Chahine finished her first season as a Mule with a best finish of 23rd in slalom at the Dartmouth Carnival. She also placed 33rd in the GS at the Colby Carnival and at 37th in slalom for the NCAA Regional Championships.
