Men's Lacrosse Program Overview

The Colby Men's Lacrosse program started in 1973 and belongs to Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), one of the most competitive Division III conferences in the nation. Colby Men's Lacrosse competes on Seaverns Field, a long-grass synthetic turf field located at the Harold Alfond Stadium, which was restored in 2008 and has a seating capacity of 2,000. It is surrounded by the 400-meter, eight-lane Alfond Track.

The Mules are led by the Jack Sandler Memorial Men's Lacrosse Head Coach Jack Bernhardt who just finished his second season with the team. In 2024, the team broke the most goals in a game record with 30 in a win against Maine Maritime Academy (previous record was 27). The program has totaled 15 All-American awards and 31 All-Conference honorees including a player of the year, coach of the year and three rookie of the year awards.
