Absolute Sweep for the Mules in 3-0 Victory Over UNE

Waterville, Maine — Colby Volleyball remains undefeated Saturday afternoon, securing a 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-19) victory against the University of New England at the Margaret M. Crook Center. With this non-conference win, Colby keeps its record intact at 9-0 overall.

Colby displayed complete control at the net and line, combining for 43 kills, four team blocks, and seven service aces in the balanced effort. The energetic home crowd was bolstered by returning alumnae in attendance celebrating Colby College's Homecoming weekend, giving the team an extra spark from the opening serve. Fueled by that sideline enthusiasm, the Mules maintained high intensity throughout all three sets to seal the victory.

Evelyn Kunde and Brianna Hazak led a strong offense at the net with a collective 16 kills, highlighted by Evelyn Kunde hitting a strong .267 on 15 total attack attempts. Brady Moseley also delivered six kills, while Kendall Glover had five kills and a block assist. Additionally, Olivia Drayden and Fiona McDermott provided a solid four kills each. Lastly, the Mules kept the Nor'easters guessing from behind the server's line throughout the match with a total of seven aces, led by three from Olivia Drayden and two from Reese Loyd.

Setting duties were split effectively as Gabby Grujic (13 assists) and Sydney DeProfio (10 assists) orchestrated the floor, with Jordan Lee adding eight assists. On defense, libero Reese Loyd anchored the back row with a team-high 13 digs, supported by eight digs from Brady Moseley. Freshman Anaya Francois continues to elevate the Mules' lineup, bringing immense value and court presence as she stepped up defensively to haul in seven digs alongside a service ace.
