New Orleans, La. — Following an impressive outdoor season on the national stage, the Colby Track and Field program took home two top regional honors in NCAA Division III.

Head Coach Dave Cusano has been named the USTFCCCA Division III Northeast Region Women's Coach of the Year for the outdoor season, while standout Levi Biery was selected as the Northeast Region Men's Track Athlete of the Year, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). 

Now in his eleventh year at the helm of the Mules, Cusano guided the women's program through a spectacular outdoor campaign that culminated in a 13th-place team finish at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. Under his leadership, Colby women's athletes captured a remarkable 10 All-America honors at the national meet. This is Cusano's second time earning this award which he also received in 2024. 

Before making waves at Nationals, Cusano's squad asserted its dominance regionally. The Mules consistently executed at the highest level against the area's toughest competition, securing top-10 team finishes at both the highly competitive New England Division III Outdoor Championships (4th) and the AARTFC Outdoor Championships (10th).

Adding to the program's haul, Biery earned the region's top individual track honor after a dominant outdoor season. His performances throughout the spring established him not only as a force in the Northeast but as one of the premier track athletes in the nation, heavily contributing to the Mules' point total at the NCAA Championships. Biery finished third in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships and also earned All-America honors in the 4×400. Earlier in the season, Biery won the 400H at the NESCAC Championships and took runner-up honors at the AARTFC Championships.

With these awards, Colby Track and Field further cements its status as a rising powerhouse in both the NESCAC and the national landscape.
