Five Mules Earn All-NESCAC Softball Honors

Hadley, Mass. — The NESCAC announced its 2026 Softball All-Conference awards today, with five members of the Colby Softball program receiving recognition. The Mules placed three players on the First Team and two on the Second Team following a historic 25-win regular season.

Senior outfielder Carissa Cassidy headlined the honors, earning her fourth career All-NESCAC selection. Named to the First Team, Cassidy becomes one of the most decorated players in program history. The senior leads the Colby offense this spring in multiple categories including a .493 batting average (third in the NESCAC), .517 on base percentage (fourth in NESCAC), and a .706 slugging percentage. She even has 24 stolen bases on the year, the third most in the conference.

Joining Cassidy on the First Team are pitchers Sophia Meade and Sharlotte Stazinski. Meade, a sophomore, has a 11-3 record with a 1.67 ERA (second best in the NESCAC) and 82 strikeouts, highlighted by a no-hitter against Bates back on April 29th. Stazinski, a first-year, made an immediate impact in the circle to help Colby lead the NESCAC in team ERA (2.40 as a team, 2.08 individual - third best in the conference). The duo both rank in the top-10 in strikeouts in the NESCAC as well as innings pitched.

On the Second Team, junior Juliana Kiley was recognized for her primary role in the Mules' run production. Kiley leads the team with 39 RBIs (third most in the NESCAC) and a second best 48 hits. She is joined by senior Victoria Ramirez, who helped anchored a defense that ranked among the league leaders in double plays while providing a steady bat in the lineup.

The five selections mark the highest total for the program in recent years, reflecting Colby's sustained presence in the Division III Top 25 rankings throughout the 2026 campaign.

The Mules season continues tomorrow at Husson against MIT to kickoff the NCAA Division III Regional double elimination tournament. Stay tuned for more information.
