Hancock, Mass. -
Townsend Mikell and
Althea Noyes continued their sizzling seasons Friday when the Colby Alpine Ski team opened the Williams Carnival at Jiminy Peak with the Giant Slalom. Both Mules earned top-10 individual finishes as the women's team finished sixth and the men's team placed 8th out of the 13 competing teams.

Noyes almost returned to the podium for the third time this season, sitting just 0.30 off first place after the first run. The sophomore failed to close the gap second run, but a solid run kept her on the front page sliding into 10th.
Carissa Cassidy finished the day in 23rd and
Sophie Stocker (photo left) was the third scorer for the Mules placing 37th. The race was won by Emma Resnick of Dartmouth.
Mikell followed up his stellar finish in last week's GS with another great day. Finally working his way into the protected seeding, Mikell made the most of it with another top-10 finish, placing 8th. After having issues on the first run,
Harrison Digangi (headline photo) used a great second run to leap into the top 30.
Topher Davenport was Colby's third scorer in 33rd. The Big Green made it a sweep of the top step of the podium as Oscar Zimmer won the men's race.
The Mules are back at Jiminy Peak Saturday for the Williams Carnival Slalom.
