Williamstown, Mass. — Colby Volleyball dropped a hard-fought NESCAC match-up on the road Friday evening, falling 3-0 (14-25, 16-25, 27-29) to Williams College at Chandler Athletic Center.
The Mules battled relentlessly throughout the contest, capped by a competitive third set before Williams squeezed out the final points. Colby produced 31 total kills and 14 team blocks, showing steady determination at the net. Evelyn Kunde was Colby's kill-leader for the evening, with team-high of seven kills. Brianna Hazak produced six kills, seven digs, and two blocks, while Brady Moseley made significant contributions with five kills, three blocks, and a team-best of 13 total digs. Setter Gabby Grujic chipped in offensively, converting two setter dumps into kills. She also produced 11 assists alongside five digs, while Sydney DeProfio set eight assists and also eight digs. Libero Reese Loyd helped defend the back-row with eight total digs and served two service aces. Back-row depth was further bolstered by freshman Anaya Francois, who added three digs.
Colby remains on the road on Saturday, October 3, traveling to Cambridge to face non-conference opponent MIT at 2:00 p.m.
