Middlebury, VT - The Colby Women's Squash team faced a strong Middlebury squad on Sunday, wrapping up its weekend on the road. Despite hard-fought battles throughout the lineup, the Mules ultimately fell 8–1 in the NESCAC matchup.
The lone point for Colby came from senior Abhisheka David '26, who delivered an impressive and dramatic performance. After three tightly contested games (10–12, 12–10, 15–13), David took control and closed out the match decisively in the final two games, winning 11–7 and 11–3.
At the top of the ladder, Laavanya Kugan '26 and Nathalie Sim '27 each battled for over 40 minutes, pushing their opponents to five games before both narraowly fell 11–9 in the fifth. Reshika Rajarathinam '28 also turned in a competitive four-game match, while Tori Thill '28, Tattie Gibbs '28, and Maggie Motch '28 each forced tight games, including several that reached 12–10.
The Mules return to action on Wednesday, hosting the Amherst Mammoths in another challenging NESCAC matchup.
