  The Colby Mules Swimming and Diving teams had their senior meet against Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday and finished strong with some decisive victories. The women won by a score of 207- 82 and the men 158-130. For the meet the women won every event, went 1,2,3 in 4 of them and exhibitioned the final two while the men overcame a 26 point deficit to start out the meet and won 11 out of 16 events.Â
 The senior class of
Ethan Chang, Nano Chon,
Tahlia Crowley, Abby Eastman,
Emma Farnham,
Alexander MacLennan,
Kellen Mottl,
Avery Rappaport,
Noam Reinhorn and
Brandon Xiong were honored at the beginning of the meet for their contributions to the program over the last 4 seasons. They continued their contributions in the meet as the seniors combined to win 9 individual events as well as being involved in two relay wins.
Xiong led the way as he won both of his individual events, the 100 backstroke and 100 Freestyle. He was also on the winning 200 Medley relay with fellow senior Chang (Xiong,
Shepard Kerscher,
Alex Ruckel-Bekefi, Chang) and also the 400 Freestyle Relay (
Amaan Siddiqui, Xiong,
Todd Siekman, Ruckel-Bekefi.)
MacLennan (100 and 200 Breaststroke), Crowley (100 and 200 Backstroke) and Rappaport (1 M and 3 M Diving) all won two apiece and Mottl also won the 200 Breaststroke.
There were also many other multiple event winners for the Mules. For the men,
Brandon Morrison won the 100 and 200 Butterfly and
Brendan Kirberger won the 1000 and 500 free. Siddiqui was also victorious in the 200 Freestyle as well. For the women the 200 Medley Relay of
Alexis Coates,
Eliza Marco,
Caitlin Lacey and
Lucy Mackey started out the winning ways for the Mules. The wins continued with
Savannah Lombardi in the 1000 freestyle and
Zoe Buzzelli in the 200 Freestyle. Marco won the 100 Breaststroke,
Zoe Antonio won the 200 Butterfly, Lacey won the 50 Freestyle, Mackey won the 100 Freestyle,
Aria Kapoor won the 500 Freestyle and
Lexi Asch won the 100 Butterfly. A great team win for Colby.
The Mules look to continue their winning ways as the will face off against Connecticut College on Monday January 18th in Waterville. The meet start time is 1:00 pm.
