Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Women's Soccer team hosted the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College in their home opener of the 2025 season. The Mules came out on top with an exciting 1-0 victory to start their season 1-0 in NESCAC play. 

Colby played a very strong game, controlling the field throughout all 90 minutes of play. The Mules generated 18 total shots in comparison to Bowdoin's five. Their aggressive attack kept the Polar Bears on their heels and created consistent opportunities. Early in the second half at 54:11 from outside of the 30, Abigail Jarvi shot a rocket into the top right corner to set the Mules ahead 1-0. For the remainder of the half, Colby kept great possession with multiple fast breaks. Goaltender MK Marshall started her season off with a shutout, making a total of two saves. 

Colby returns to action tomorrow as they will head down to Boston to face Emmanuel College at 12:00 PM.
