Mules Force Williams to a 1-1 Draw

Williamstown, Mass. - The Colby College Women's Soccer team faced the No. 13 Ephs of Williams College this afternoon in an intense NESCAC matchup. The Mules battled hard and, despite an early goal from the Ephs, they fought back to secure a 1-1 tie.

Williams opened the game quickly, scoring just 1:53 into the match. However, the Mules did not back down. Colby's defense held strong while the offense totaled eight shots in the first 45 minutes of play. At 37:06, Amanda Schneider found the equalizer off a pass from Neve Taylor to level the score 1-1. Goalkeeper MK Marshall ended the half with three saves. The Mules carried their momentum into the second half, firing 12 more shots as they pushed for the lead. Goalkeeper Sadie Gardner stepped up with two saves to keep Williams off the board, while Ella Caraluzzi led all players with four shots. Despite no further goals, Colby's intensity never faded as they held on for the 1-1 tie.

The Mules return to action tomorrow to face Amherst College at 2:00 PM.
