Amherst, Mass. - The Colby College Women's Soccer team wrapped up its NESCAC weekend double-header with a hard-fought 1-1 tie against the Mammoths of Amherst College this Sunday afternoon.
Entering the game strong, the Mules and Mammoths saw a very even battle with both sides trading possession and chances. Colby fired five shots and earned three corner kicks, while allowing no corner kicks for Amherst. Goalkeeper
MK Marshall kept the Mammoths off the board with two key saves to end the first half. Amherst struck first in the second half at the 55:32 mark to grab a 1-0 lead, but the Mules responded quickly. At 66:59

Ami Vithiananthan.
Sadie Gardner took over in goal for the second half and recorded one save, keeping the Mammoths from reclaiming the lead. Colby fired nine shots in the second half for a game total of 14, keeping pressure on Amherst until the final whistle. The Mules' strong efforts led them to the 1-1 tie.
The Mules return home next Saturday for more NESCAC play, hosting Hamilton at 11:00 AM.
