Bangor, Maine - The Colby College Field Hockey team played Husson University on Sunday afternoon. The Mules battled hard and held their lead the whole game for an overall 7-1 win.
Colby and Husson remained tied for the first 15 minutes of play, but junior
Bridget Everett tallied her first goal of the season to start the second quarter. The Mules recorded six offensive corners in the first half, but the score remained 1-0 after 30 minutes. Everett extended Colby's lead with her second goal of the game early in the third quarter, quickly followed by goals from junior
Maddie Campbell and senior
Lily Harrington to take the 4-0 lead at the end of the third quarter. The Mules didn't give up, tallying seven shots in the fourth quarter and recording goals from
Jenna London,
Christina Sweeney, and another from Harrington.
Ginna Jacoby and
Opal O'Rourke stood tall in net.
Colby is back in action at Connecticut College next Saturday at 11am.
