Day 2
Pennsauken, N.J. - To conclude this weekends IRA racing schedule for your Colby Men's Crew team the second varsity eight crew's finish in their grand final highlighted the day placing third to earn the bronze medal. The crew finished with a time of 6:00.270 less then a second ahead of Wesleyan who finished with a time of 6:00.710. In the varsity one grand final the Mules took sixth place securing a time of 6:09.100. Lastly, the V4 crew took first place in the seventh final (7:16.670) topping Mass. Maritime by about four seconds (7:20.970) as well as Rochester.
In the overall points standings the Mules finish in sixth with 36 points ahead of both Ithaca and Marietta.
This concludes a well highlighted season for Colby Crew who will be back in action this fall.
Day 1
The Colby Men's Crew team competed in qualifying heats this morning in IRA National Championship action with three crews looking to seal a spot in tomorrows grand finals.

Starting with the V8 crew who raced at 10:16am, they finished third in their race with a time of 6:00.370 just ahead of Marietta (6:01.020) to earn a spot in the finals. The 2V8 crew's race came up next taking place shortly after the V8 race at 10:32am. Once again the Mules finished third setting a time of 6:02.790 to upset Bates, who finished in fourth with a time of 6:06.880, to claim a spot in tomorrows final. To finish up the day, the V4 crew placed fourth in their semifinal race (7:04.040).
The V4 will being Saturday's action for Colby racing in the final seven group at 2:00pm against Rochester amd Mass. Maritime. The 2V8 crew will being their grand finals race at 3:50pm in lane one going up against four fellow NESCAC schools (Trinity, Tufts, Williams, Wesleyan) and Ithaca. A half hour later at 4:20pm, the V8 crew will wrap up the day in their grand finals out of lane six against five fellow conference institutions (Willams, Tufts, Trinity, Bates, Wesleyan).
