Lyme, N.H.- The Colby Alpine Ski team wrapped up the alpine portion of the 2025 NCAA Championships on Friday. The Mules placed three skiers in the top 30, led by Hannah Soria in 25th place. 

After a day and a half of rain, the surface was in excellent condition, with a firm layer that allowed for full gas skiing. The first run course set went to the University of Utah. With a straight set, speeds were up for racers, and there was little margin for error. As the day warmed up, the winds picked up across the Dartmouth Skiway, and aerodynamics became important.

Following a stellar race in the Slalom two days prior that earned her All-American honors, Carissa Cassidy skied to 29th place. Soria landed as the third-best Division III skier and finished 25th overall. An unfortunate mistake from Lydia Riddell took her out in the first run.

Harrison Digangi, the Mule's lone male qualifier, skied to 26th place in a field loaded with talent. He finished as the sixth-fastest Division III skier on the day.

With three racers in the points, the Mules posted a team score of 13 points. They finished the weekend in 11th position and the second-place Division III school. The University of Utah would go on to win the title ahead of the University of Colorado. Hosts Dartmouth finished in third place as the top eastern team.

The Mules will continue racing across New England, and the Nor-Am finals will start next week. The men will race at home at Sugarloaf, and the women will head to Burke Mountain.
