Waterville, Maine - After defeating Trinity 2-1 in the NESCAC Quarterfinals, the third seeded Colby Women's Ice Hockey team is prepared to face second seeded Middlebury in the semifinal round. The winner of Saturday's contest will head to the conference championship game taking place the following day, March 9th, against the winner of the No. 5 Hamilton vs No. 1 Amherst matchup.
To close out the regular season the Mules shutout the Panthers, the second ranked team in Division III at the time, in back to back games here on Mayflower Hill. 3-0 on February 21st and 2-0 on the 22nd to hand Middlebury there first and second shutout losses of the season. Heading into the championship weekend, Colby has won eight of their last nine games.
Saturday's matchup is set for a 4:30pm start following the conclusion of the other semifinal game starting at 1:00pm. Fans can follow alongside the action using the
