Waterville, Maine - After defeating #11 Wilkes 4-3 in the opening round of the NCAA DIII Championships, the #8 Colby Women's Ice Hockey team will head to Amherst, Mass. on Saturday, March 22nd to take on the #2 Mammoths.

Colby holds the season advantage over the 2025 NESCAC Champions with a two-game sweep back on February 7th and 8th with final scores of 3-1 and 3-2. However, Amherst is no stranger to postseason play as they have now reached the NCAA Quarterfinals for the third straight year. The Mules and Mammoths have met multiple times before in the NCAA Tournament including Colby's last quarterfinals appearance in 2023 where they fell to Amherst 4-0. The two teams also faced off in first round of the tournament back in 2022 resulting in a Mammoths victory.

The winner will move on to the semifinals on March 28th versus the winner of the #3 Middlebury vs #16 Nazareth matchup.
