Women's Ice Hockey to Host Wilkes in First Round of NCAA Tournament

Waterville, Maine - For the third time in four years, the Colby Women's Ice Hockey team is back in the DIII NCAA tournament after earning an at-large bid. The Mules are set to host Wilkes University this Saturday, March 15th in a first round matchup. So far this season, Colby has posted a solid 17-6-2 record while currently ranked 11th in all of Division III according to the lastest USCHO poll. 

The Colonels (22-4-1) are coming off their programs first ever Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) title after defeating Arcadia 2-1 in the championship game. They are currently ranked 14th on the USCHO poll and placed five on their All-Conference team this season including MAC Rookie of the Year Renne Ng. These two teams have yet to face each other in program history. 

Saturday's game is scheduled for a 3:00pm start. Fans can follow alongside the action using the live stats and live video links as well as check out the tournament page for more information. 

Colby (students, staff, and faculty) and Waterville community will enter free of charge. Tickets for others will be available to purchase one hour prior to puck drop right outside the doors of the O'Neil | O'Donnell Forum via venmo or cash (no presale). $6 for adults, $4 for students and seniors, $3 for children under 13 and free for children under 2. For Colby students, faculty, staff and the surrounding Waterville communities, admission is free. 

The winner will advanced to the quarterfinal round taking place Saturday, March 22nd at 3:00pm as Amherst awaits the victor.
