Waterville, Maine. - The Mules faced off against Williams College, falling to the Effs 58-46. The Mules are now 5-2 in conference and 11-9 overall.
Colby had a slow start, struggling to break through Williams' strong defense and only managing to score eight points to the Effs' 16. The Mules fought a lot harder both offensively and defensively in the second quarter, holding Williams to 13 while scoring 12 points of their own. Colby came out revitalized in the third quarter, narrowly outscoring Williams 16-15. Colby would be unable to close, though, ultimately falling to Williams 58-46.
Chelsea Ibenegbu led the Mules offensively with 17 points while also leading the team in steals with three.
Kate Olenik also had an impressive game with 14 points, three blocks, two steals, and six rebounds.
Ana Von Rumohr matched Olenik in rebounds with six and
Lydia Mordarski contributed six points and a block.
Tomorrow at 3 pm the Mules will face off against the Panthers of Middlebury at home.
