Brunswick Maine - The Colby Women's Basketball team traveled to Bowdoin College falling to the Polar Bears 53-42. Colby moves to 5-2 on the season and Bowdoin improves to 6-0.

The game had a slow start offensively with the Mules scoring 16 points compared to Bowdoin's 20.  The scoring picked up in the second half with Colby scoring 10 points in the third and 16 in the fourth quarter alone. The Mules hit the boards strongly with 12 rebounds in the first quarter and Lydia Mordarski grabbed two steals in the second quarter. Colby was able to put up 16 points in the fourth quarter to match Bowdoin, but couldn't recover from their earlier point deficit. The Mules' bench once again showed up with 22 points. Despite Colby's effort Bowdoin pulled out the win 53-42.

Freshman Shea Donnelly lit up the stat sheet tonight scoring 10 points with team high three steals, an assist, and five rebounds. Brooke Braen led the team with 12 points and also contributed a rebound. The team high of six rebounds came from Caroline Hartley who added a steal and six points as well.
