The Mules Notch a Win Against Albertus Magnus College

New Haven, Conn. - The Colby Women's Basketball team was on the road again at Albertus Magnus College coming out victorious over the Falcons 56-48. Colby improved to 6-2 on the season and Albertus Magnus falls to 1-11.

The Mules scoring 16 and Falcons scoring 14 started off tight in the first quarter. Colby led in points in three quarters which secured their lead for majority of the game only allowing for two lead changes with the Mules largest being 11. Colby followed through on both sides of the ball with 18 offensive and 28 defensive rebounds and had 10 steals four of which came from Chelsea Ibenegbu. The Mules bench stood out scoring 26 points as opposed to the five of Albertus Magnus. Always being sure to capitalize on plays, Colby had 12 second chance points and 15 points off turnovers. 

Freshman Shea Donnelly had another strong game achieving a double double while leading the team with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and tying the team high of two blocks with Talia Thompson. Emily Ryan played generously adding team high five assists to her own 10 points. Ava Bryan also contributed 10 points and played strong on defense grabbing a steal and three rebounds. 

The Mules verse Cortland at their next stop in Springfield Massachusetts for the Naismith New Years Tournament on January first.
