Waterville, Maine - The Colby Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving team is ready to get the new season underway this Saturday heading to Amherst College to face the Mammoths. The women's team has been given a 19th ranking on the CSCAA's National Division III preseason poll following major success from last year. The Amherst men are ranked 20th which will set up a big opportunity for the Colby men's team to begin the season. The Amherst women are currently ranked 16th.
The Colby Women's team is coming off a historic 2024-25 season earning their highest team finish at NCAA's in 17 years on top of seven Mules earning All-American status, the most ever in team history. They will be led by a senior group of five consisting of
Tahlia Crowley,
Abigail Eastman,
Emma Farnham,
Kellen Mottl, and
Avery Rappaport. They are joined by a first-year class of eight Mules who will look to make an impact in the pool right away.
The Colby Men's team will look to improve off of last years results as the team finished 9th of 11 schools in the NESCAC Championship. A senior class of five will led the team this season;
Ethan Chang,
Nathaniel Chon,
Alexander MacLennan,
Noam Reinhorn and
Brandon Xiong. The team is joined by a big first-year class of 13 student-athletes.
Tom Burton returns for his 28th season as Head Coach of the Mules. He is joined by Associate Head Coach
Craig Nisgor in his third season as well as Diving Coach
Luca Brashear who enters his second season at Colby.
Haley Thier has joined the coaching staff this season after a standout collegiate career as a student-athlete competing at both Clavin and Denision University.
