Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Mules Cruise Past Hamilton 2-0

Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Women's Soccer team faced the Continentals of Hamilton College this afternoon. Though Hamilton challenged the Mules, Colby came on top with a 2-0 victory, improving their overall record to 5-1-3. 

Both Colby and Hamilton brought the energy for a very even matchup. Throughout the first half, Colby displayed strong passing sequences alongside a steady defense. The Mules dominated offensively, outshooting Hamilton 11-3. At 21:33, Avery Barton scored her second goal of the season off a corner kick for the Mules. Starting goalkeeper MK Marshall made one save to preserve the lead heading into halftime. Entering the second half ahead 1-0, Colby kept up the intensity. They recorded another five shots, and goalkeeper Sadie Gardner made two key saves. At 63:30 Abigail Jarvi fired a rocket into the net off an assist from Madison Genser to double the lead. From there, Colby maintained strong possession and closed out the games securing the 2-0 win.

The Mules will travel to Husson on Tuesday for a midweek non-conference matchup at 7:00 PM.
