Head Coach Holley Tyng Earns 100th Career Win

Waterville, Maine - With Friday night's 4-1 win over Trinity, Head Coach Holley Tyng reached her 100th career victory, all coming at the helm of Colby's Women's Ice Hockey team.

In her nine years with Colby, Tyng has guided the Mules to numerous milestones and remarkable moments.  Her impact was felt immediately, taking a team that won two games in 2016-17 to 15 wins in 2019-20.  The 2022-23 record of 18-8-0 marks the most wins in a season in program history, and over the last four seasons the Mules have compiled a record of 61-26-4.

Named NESCAC Coach of the Year after the 2019-20 season, Tyng's 2021-22 and 2022-23 teams are the first two Women's Ice Hockey teams at Colby to earn a berth to the NCAA Division III tournament.  Her career record is currently 100-74-18.

"Congratulations to Coach Holley Tyng on reaching this coaching milestone," said Amanda DeMartino, Harold Alfond Director of Athletics and Recreation. "We are fortunate at Colby to have such a passionate, dedicated and talented coach leading our women's ice hockey team. It's evident she's widely respected amongst her players, the coaching staff and the broader women's ice hockey community.  She is a true winner that strives for excellence in all she does.  It's been an honor to get to know her and her team, and I'm excited to continue watching the Mules on the ice this season!"
