Williamstown, Mass. - The Colby College Women's Ice Hockey team traveled down to Massachusetts to face the Ephs of Williams College for a Friday night NESCAC match-up. The Mules had a late goal in the third period but ultimately fell to the Ephs 2-1.

Colby came out game strong, winning 13 out of 16 faceoffs and firing 15 shots on goal in the opening period. Despite creating solid scoring opportunities, the Mules were unable to convert, and the period ended at 0-0. Maintaining their intensity, the Mules dominated the second period with 34 total shots and 23 on goal. Goalie Grace Caligiuri was a brick wall in the net, making 15 crucial saves to keep the game scoreless heading into the final period. The third period saw plenty of action, with both teams generating quality chances. Williams managed to break through with two goals, but Colby fought until the final seconds. With just 19 seconds remaining, Beth Sinson capitalized on a power play, assisted by Anna Staton and Maria Pierce, to put the Mules on the board. Breanna Studley and Sinson led the team with 8 shots each, and Caligiuri made 27 total saves, but the Mules fell just short at 2-1 by the end of the third period.
