Waterville, ME - The Colby College Mules (9-3-1, 4-3-0) lost by a score of 3-1 in their Saturday afternoon matchup with the #8 Hamilton College Continentals (10-3-0, 6-1-0).
The first period was hard fought by both teams.
Bobby Landry received a two-minute minor penalty for high-sticking at the 7:22 mark. Hamilton scored late in the first to make it a 1-0 contest.
Hamilton scored again early in the second frame. The rest of the second period was very hard-fought - neither team could score a goal - but was disciplined as well, as neither team was penalized in the period.
In the third period, Hamilton again scored late to make the game 3-0. With 30 seconds remaining in the contest,

Cooper Rautenstrauch was in net for the Mules, and he saved 25 shots. Colby won 31 faceoffs to Hamilton's 29.
Colby will return to the ice on Friday, January 17 at 7:00 PM in Middletown, CT as they matchup with the Wesleyan University Cardinals.
