Waterville, Maine - The Colby Women's Soccer team fell to perennial powerhouse Tufts on Saturday. The number 22-ranked Jumbos flexed their muscle against the Mules' defense, scoring three goals, the most Colby has allowed all season.
Tufts scored on the opening kick and added a second at the 34-minute mark. Tufts managed 11 shots in the first half, with goalie
MK Marshall making two saves.
Colby came out in the second half with renewed energy and peppered shots at the Tufts goalkeeper. But in the 56th minute, Tufts iced Colby with their third goal of the game.
The Mules will be back in action on Sunday with a non-conference matchup against the Hartford Hawks. That game kicks off at 1:00, as Colby looks to take down the Hawks again after an impressive upset one year ago.
