Brunswick, ME - The Colby College Men's Tennis team fell 1-8 to Bowdoin College in the sixth NESCAC matchup of the year, on Thursday afternoon.
Following doubles, the Mules found themselves down 0-3. Senior captain Sam Henry and junior captain Jake Cohen found an early lead, 4-2, and a chance to go up 5-2 on a deuce point, but ended up falling 5-8.
In singles, Colby had some close matches across the board. On court 2, Cohen pulled out a grueling victory, 7-6(1) 7-6(2), being the last to finish his match. Senior captain Joey Barrett also lost a close matchup at court 1, 5-7 3-6. At court 3, Henry lost in a third set tiebreaker 6-2 6-7(4) 0-1(6). First year Paul Dandler also lost a 3-6 4-6 battle at court 4.
Colby is back in action Saturday, April 20th against Trinity.
