Waterville, Maine. - The Colby Women's Lacrosse team dominated against the Williams today in their Senior Day and final regular-season home game, defeating the Ephs 13-5. The Mules improve to a NESCAC record of 5-4 and 10-4 overall.
Williams and Colby were neck-in-neck in the first quarter, the Mules starting strong with the first goal less than two minutes into the game. The Ephs would score the next two, followed by Colby scoring two and ultimately bringing the first quarter's score to 3-2 for the Mules. Colby would continue to pick up the pace offensively while shutting down Williams defensively, scoring three goals and holding the Ephs down to one. The score at the half was 6-3. The Mules continued in the third quarter the same way, scoring four times while keeping Williams at one for a 10-4 score heading into the final quarter. Although the Ephs scored the first goal of the fourth quarter, it would be their last of the game. Colby stuck with their trend, scoring three goals in the remainder of the game and bringing the final score to a 13-5.

Sarah Hearns kept the Ephs at their lowest score of their season thus far at only five goals scored. Colby was led offensively by
Julia Jardina netting five goals as
Ally Franz scored three. Franz also boasted an assist while Jardina dominated elsewhere with two ground balls and four draw controls.
Kins Helmer was two for two with her shots on goal, scoring twice.
Kat Munter caused two turnovers, had four ground balls, and controlled three draws.
The Mules next face off on the road against Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday, April 24, at 7 pm.
