Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Baseball team is ready for the 2024 season to start as they prepare to host the University of Maine-Farmington Sunday for some non-conference action. The Mules will look to add on their 20th straight win against the Beavers dating back to 2006.
Last season Colby finished with a strong 25-12 overall record while going 7-5 in conference play as they finished third hosting the NESCAC Tournament. Despite losing nine seniors to graduation, the Mules have added 13 first-years to the team and will be led by a group of a dozen seniors this year.

All of Colby's top-six hitters from last year return to the lineup to give the Mules a powerful core at the plate this season.
Ryan Grace '25 (.350 avg, 50 hits, 33 runs, 33 RBIs), Forrester (.325 avg, 41 hits, 27 runs, 22 RBIs), Palmeri (.313 avg, 41 hits, 34 runs, 32 RBIs),
Clint Flippo '25 (.284 avg, 40 hits, 35 runs, 27 RBIs), O'Brien (.274 avg, 37 hits, 37 runs, 35 RBIs) and McConnell (.241 avg, 32 hits, 24 runs, 20 RBIs). Returners to the mound this season who appeared in ten or more games last year includes Thompson,

Colby will be led by Head Coach
Jesse Woods who enters his sixth season with the Mules. Also returning to the coaching staff is Pitching Coach
James Baker in his third season and Assistant Coach
Taylor Lockhart in his fourth season. They are joined this season by assistant coaches
Quinn Stebbins,
Ken Walsh and
Steve Lockard.
