Stebbins joins Colby from Thomas College, where he was an assistant baseball coach for the Terriers for three seasons. In his first two seasons in 2021 and 2022, he mainly worked with the outfielders and hitters, and was in charge of all baserunning. In 2023, Stebbins was named the Director of Pitching Development. He spent the season providing mechanical analysis during bullpens, improving pitch profiles, and implementing practice and in game charts to quantify performance.
Stebbins has spent two summers in the Cape Cod Baseball League. During the 2021 summer, he assisted with the hitters and the pitchers for the Bourne Braves. The 2021 Braves had the best record in the league and reached the championship series. In 2022, Stebbins assisted with the hitters and pitchers for the Wareham Gatemen.
During the summer of 2023, Stebbins was the pitching coach for the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks. He was in charge of all pitching activities, including monitoring throwing programs, providing mechanical analysis during bullpens, managing in-game situations, and using Trackman, Synergy, and BaseballCloud to analyze and quantify performance using analytics. Stebbins also used Synergy to look at game film and provide scouting reports on opposing pitchers for the team’s hitters.
Stebbins graduated from Thomas College after a four year playing career with the Terriers. In 2020, Stebbins was named the baseball Senior Scholar Athlete for the North Atlantic Conference. He currently holds his Masters in Business Administration from Thomas, as well as his undergraduate degree in Sport Management with a Coaching minor.
