Day 1&2

With the first two days complete, the Mules started the day one of NESCACs with a team combined score of 46 points, while Williams started off the four day competition strong with a team score of 90 points. This put Colby in the tenth spot out of eleven teams. The competition is tough, but Colby hopes to gain momentum as we go into the following events. During Friday's racing, in the 50 Breaststroke prelims, Colby's Kellen Mottl placed fifth right behind Williams and Tufts, while teammate Savannah Cockrill placed fourth in the 50 Backstroke prelims! Later in the day, Mottl had another great race and clinched fourth in the Championship Final of the 50 Breaststroke. Cockrill also had another good showing with her fifth place finish in the 50 Backstroke in the Championship Final. In the One Meter Diving Finals, Avery Rappaport got second place right behind Amherst! Colby ends the day with a team score of 372.5 after event #10 in front of Hamilton and Connecticut College. Williams, Middlebury, and Bates take the top three spots so far.

Day 4
Middlebury, Vt. - The final day of NESCACs for Women's Swimming and Diving is complete as Colby had another hard fought day. First-year Sarah Michael kicked things off with a 5th place finish in the 200 Backstroke prelims, and Kellen Mottl got 9th in the 200 Breaststroke prelims. Sunday's second session of the day and final session of the weekend was an overall excellent team effort. In the 200 Backstroke Final, two of Colby's first-years, Sarah Michael and Annabel Mullin had great races, as they got 8th and 9th. Lastly, in the 400 Freestyle Relay, Mottl, Mayo, Landau, and Moy secured a 10th spot finish.

All of this hard work put Colby in a great position through event 24, ending the four-day event with a team score of 858.5 points and an overal fifth place finish of the 11 conference schools, the best finish since 2010. Concluding the events, Colby's own Doug Hall was awarded Diving Coach of the Year as well as Eleanor McGrath earning NESCAC Career High-Point Diver Award.
