Women's Ice Hockey Sweeps Conn to Close Out Regular Season

New London, Connecticut - The Colby College Women's Ice Hockey team visited Connecticut College for their final regular season game of the 2023-2024 season. The Mules defeated the Camels 3-0 to end the regular season with a series sweep and improve their record to 16-7-1 overall and 8-7-1 in the NESCAC.

Coming off a win on Friday night, Colby carried the momentum into Saturday's matchup. The Mules dominated in shots and faceoffs in the first period and first-year Cailyn Murphy scored her first goal of the season to give them a 1-0 lead. Conn College turned up the heat in the second period, matching Colby and making it a very even game. The Mules managed to widen their lead in the third period when Jo Tattersall scored her second goal of the season. Later on Georgia Pettygrove netted a shorthanded goal to seal the deal for the Mules, solidifying the 3-0 win. Goaltender Mandy Busky made 23 saves on the day to earn her third shutout of the season.
