Middletown, CT - On Saturday afternoon, Colby beat Wesleyan 4-1 following a 5-0 shutout win earlier this season. All time, the Mules now lead the Cardinals 19-10-8. Following this matchup, Colby has a record of 8-10-3 (4-8-3 in conference) while Wesleyan falls to 5-17-1 (3-13-1 in conference). 

The first period ended scoreless, with 21 total shots on goal between the two teams. Senior John McElaney led the way for the Mules in the second period, scoring two goals, on top of a goal from first year Jayden Grier. In the third period, the Cardinals were able to score on a short handed goal before Grier responded, finding the back of the net on an assist from first year Matthew MacDonald. McElaney now leads the Mules in goals this season with a total of 7, and Grier ranks third on the team with 5 goals.

Men's Ice Hockey is back in action Friday, February 16th against Connecticut College.
