Daytona Beach, Fla. - The Colby College Women's Basketball team fell to a strong University of Scranton team on Monday in their second game of the Florida Sunshine Shootout 77-48. The loss brings the Mules to 3-6 heading into the new year as the Royals remain undefeated at 11-0.
Colby played well in the first quarter outscoring Scranton 12-8 but the Royals turned up the intensity to end the half up 31-22. Scranton took a big lead into the final quarter 59-27 despite the Mules outscoring their opponent 21-18 to end the game.
Kate Olenik led the offense once again totaling 16 points in the contest.
Lydia Mordarski was close behind contributed 13 points of her own alongside a pair of steals.
The Mules will remain on the road taking on MIT next on January 4th at 1:00pm.
