Waterville, Maine - Colby's
Mario Simoes was named to the All-NESCAC First Team Wednesday morning with the conference released its yearly awards. He joins Ethan Franco (2021) and Andrew Meisel (2012) in a prestigious club of Colby's First Team selections.
Simoes, a dangerous striker in and around the box, led the conference with 11 goals this season, three ahead of the next highest scorer. He tallied goals in five of the 10 NESCAC contests this season, including two against Bates and a hat trick against Trinity. Simoes scored four times in his first year, twice as a sophomore, six times as a junior, and his 11 goals this season give him 23 on his career.
