Middlebury, VT - On Friday night, the Mules fell 1-4 in a hard fought loss to the Panthers. The Panthers now improve to 4-8-3 (2-5-2 in conference) while the Mules fall to 5-8-2 (2-6-2 in conference). The Mules and Panthers have matched up 39 times in history and the Panthers now lead the series 24-12-3.
The first period saw Middlebury take a 1-0 lead, with Colby certainly having their chances. In the second period, the Panthers pulled away, finding the net three times. In the final period, the Mules found their first goal in the 8th minute from Junior
Jake MacDonald. Although the Mules battled hard in the third period with 13 shots on goal, the Panthers pulled away with the victory. The Mules had a total of 32 shots on goal, while the Panthers had 27. MacDonald has now tallied his first goal of the year, adding onto his four assists.
