Middlebury, Vermont - The Colby College Women's Ice Hockey Team traveled to Vermont to play a NESCAC game against the #6 ranked Middlebury College Panthers. The game ended in a 1-1 tie, making Colby's record now 8-2-1 overall and 2-2-1 in conference.
An evenly matched first period ended with Middlebury ahead 1-0. Colby surpassed Middlebury in shots in the second period, with
Breanna Studley eventually sending one past the goaltender to tie the game at 1. The battle remained close throughout the third period, and the score was still locked at 1 at the end of regulation, forcing the game into overtime. The five minute overtime period saw seven shots on goal by the Mules but the Panthers were able to hold them off, ending the game in a tie. Goaltender
Grace Caligiuri had 23 saves for the Mules.
The Mules rematch Middlebury tomorrow afternoon.
