New Gloucester, Maine - The Colby Men's and Women's Cross Country teams went up against Bates and Bowdoin in the CBB Class Wave Race Tuesday to kickoff the 2023 season. 

In the competition taking place at Pineland Farms, the Women's team came away with a second place finish while the Men finished third. Junior Claire Beebe led the way for the Mules finishing fifth (18:35) while senior Penny King also finished inside the top-ten notching ninth (18:52). Sophomore Maria Dibari was able to cross the finish line just under the 19 minute mark at 18:53 placing 12th. On the Men's side, sophomore Chris Gould collected 8th place with a time of 20:14 as fellow teammates senior Sam Posner (20:46) and senior Matt DeAngelis (20:47) finished neck and neck grabbing 14th and 15th. 

Colby will head right back to Pineland Farms on Saturday September 16th for the Bates Invitational.
