Waterville, ME- The Colby Women's Tennis Team fell 6-3 to 6th ranked Middlebury on Saturday, April 15th. The Mules were celebrating the career of Caleigh McClain on senior day.

The Panthers took all three matches in the doubles. On court 1, junior captains Sam Riordan and Sydney Landau fell 8-2. At line 2, freshmen Maddie Omiciolo and Bella Suk lost 8-4. At 3rd doubles, freshmen Amelie Gal and Ellie Gershaw were defeated 8-2.

The Mules put up a courageous fight in the singles, winning 3 out of 6 matches. At 4th singles, Gershaw defeated Gena Huang of Middlebury 6-4, 2-6, 10-3. Suk also added another point for the Mules, taking down Anna Lardner of Middlebury in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. 

The final winner for the Mules was McClain, who overcame Charlotte McCann of Middlebury 4-6, 6-2, 11-9.

The Mules host 13th ranked Williams on Sunday, April 16th,
