Amherst, Mass. - After matching up against Hamilton yesterday, the Colby Women's Tennis team took on Amherst Sunday for another conference matchup leading to a 3-6 loss for the Mules. 

Colby got off to a good start in doubles with Sam Riordan and Sydney Landau in the one spot defeating the Mammoth's Katja Jules Viber and Karolina Dobiecka 8-7. In singles, Riordan took another victory in the one spot over Amherst's Amy Cui (6-2, 6-1) while Ellie Gershaw topped Julia Lendel in the fourth spot (6-3, 6-0). Maddie Omicioli played a tough match against Julia Lendel in the third spot falling by just a few points (5-7, 3-6). 

The Mules will have a week break before facing Wellesley and Brandeis next weekend for their home opener here on Mayflower Hill.
